Loss of a Friend
A really close friend and Chiropracter of my wife‘s family passed away today. He had been battling cancer about 6 months ago, and we were told it was in remission. But how he died, and the suddenness of it all isn’t the subject of this post. I didn’t know him that well, and only heard […]

Disneyland
I went to Disneyland on Sunday for a friends birthday. I hadn’t been there for many years and was excited. My parents used to take my sister and I every couple of years. Sometimes they would tell us the night before where we were going, which would prevent me from sleeping with the anxiety of […]

Chicago Thoughts
Chicago was AWESOME! All four of us were blown away by how great it was there. I definately will be going back. My quicky thoughts: Chicago Dogs rule. I had one every day I was there. It was tough finding it in the airport, but after 30 minutes of walking they were mine. Next time, […]

Off to Chicago
Going to Chicago tomorrow for Memorial Day with my wife, her sister and my bro-in-law. Staying at Le Meridien, so it should be pretty nifty. Community Server uses some ASP.NET 2.0
Pretty cool those guys are, thinking ahead and all. I just noticed that my CS 1.0 database has all (or near all, not sure) the tables and stored procedures that get installed for ASP.NET 2.0 membership, profiles, role management and personalization. To get it in your database, assuming you have the 2.0 framework installed is […]

Three CD Rule
A rule I devised (yeah, I’m real smart…) that I continue to apply every day is the “Three CD Rule”. Simply put, (like there is anything hard to understand here) you must listen to a CD 3 times before you can really render an opinion. This is not to invalidate you if you hate an […]

Yahoo Music Engine
I have been really enjoying the Yahoo Music Engine, along with the Y! Unlimited access. With it, you can download an unlimited number of tracks and abuse them until you stop paying the monthly fee. It is exactly what Napster offers, but at 1/3 the price. You can pay $4.99 per month if you sign […]

Print PDF Documents That Disable Printing
I received a question of how to print a PDF that does not allow you to print it. This worked for me: Download and install Ghostscript. Download, install and run GSView. Open GSView and open the PDF document you can’t print. File –> Print like you normally would.
